This year Permits Foundation celebrates 10 years advocacy of change to immigration legislation to allow accompanying partners to work.
The symposium takes a look at the impact of partner employment aspirations on international mobility and what needs to be done to continue to be successful in promoting legislative change in a challenging economic and political climate.

Stephanie Beecham
Photographed for a 'Life story' for Choice magazine with the usual ten minutes planned for photography and an hour for interview. Pictures were taken in a dressing room at ITVs studios in London which meant opportunities were limited but being the great professional Stephanie came up trumps and the finished article should look great. |

Peak District National Park
A series of photographs to be produced showing some of the drama and beauty of the Peak District. Lots of research needed on this one as the Peak District is one of the few areas of the country I do not know that well. |

Nigel Coope, Windsor chair maker.
Every couple of months I write a double page article for Choice magazine on traditional country crafts. These are great to do as I pick my own subjects and spend a day out in the countryside chatting and photographing some interesting people. Nigel was great, a man who is totally happy with his work. I met him again a couple of weeks later at the CLA Game Fair at Blenheim where his work was obviously admired as sales were going well. |

Bill Bryson, Author and broadcaster.
An interview and photography for a feature in a national magazine. This is one of a series of commissions where I am given around ten minutes at the end of the interview (usually in the subjects home) to photograph the subject and supply enough pictures for a front cover, and a double page spread. These time-limited assignments are always a challenge but usually great fun. |

Gurteen menswear website
The photography was to update Gurteen’s website with the new seasons range of clothing. The shoot was at the fantastic Kentwell Hall in Long Melford, Suffolk with the design and art direction my good friends Rob and Miranda from Dowie & Co.
A packed day of rapid clothing and location changes with a bit of dodging in and out of the changeable weather, but great fun and a massive range of photographs for the client to choose from. |
